Personal Trainer:  Andy Lee

I have worked as a personal trainer for over 4 years now, working in both the public and private sectors with Nuffield Health and Bannatynes Health Club. I currently work as a freelance personal trainer conducting one to one sessions and group/team training sessions at Peak Body Fitness Studio in Chester Le Street, in and around the Durham area and for local sports teams.
I specialise in training for sustainable weight loss through cardiovascular and resistance training in both of which I have Level 3 advanced qualifications.
A keen and experienced runner, I often incorporate running into training programs as one of the best methods for achieving weight loss and greater levels of fitness. Don't let this put you off though if you are not a keen runner!! I will never ask you to do something that you are not comfortable with or are not at a level to do safely yet. 
I love training for endurance events and have completed a number of Marathons and half marathons, 10k runs and the 3 peaks mountain challenge on 4 occasions. 2012 is to see my first venture in to the world of Ultra Marathon running. I have studied for my GP referral qualifications and have experience of training and forming programs for clients with a range of specific conditions from diabetes and asthma to autism, cerebral palsy & spina bifida. 
My desire to further myself in this area particularly both academically and professionally led to me undertaking a BSc Physiotherapy degree in Sept 09 which I am currently studying for part time with Salford University.

I am very aware of the difficulties and complications that anyone and everyone can face with regards to achieving greater health and fitness. Improving your health and fitness will always be my primary goal as greater respiratory and cardiac efficiency are the first steps to any goal. I am a firm believer that anyone can achieve anything with the right mix of belief and application. The belief I can assist you with, the application I can supply you with!

I am very grateful to have been nominated for 2 awards in the last couple of years, the Life Fitness World Personal Trainers to watch & the Exorex UK Personal Trainer of the year in which I was a top 10 finalist.

I am the creator of the Remote Personal Trainer Programme available on Facebook and the Clean & Lean Bootcamps in the Durham area as well as the Fitness Foundations after school programme.
