So I joined the weight loss challenge with a vague notion of losing weight, but more generally to improve the way I think about food. I generally would grab for a slice of bread or something sugary to give me energy between meals and this meant I was sometimes overeating and generally not being very organised. Andy' guidance on food and the daily exercise videos were so good and overall this was HUGE value for money. I was made accountable for what I ate. I needed to plan and think. My whole family benefitted as I am now the meal organiser and maker, much to the benefit of everyone's health. I lost half a stone when I thought I wouldn't. My weight plateaued (I thought) a few years ago and I could never drop below that number...not so. I am now on my way to my ideal weight (think your optimum weight from when you were in school), and fitter. I ran anyway but the daily exercises combined with the food overhaul have taken inches away. I dropped a dress size in the first week and now all my clothes fit so much better...and my 'slimmer' clothes are a little on the big side now. The bootcamps are a big help too. I felt virtuous sweating and working out on a Friday evening rather than drinking wine in front of the telly. I have no hesitation in recommending this fat loss challenge to anybody. The group support is great. Mutual encouragement and inspiration with people posting pics of meals and shouting out their workouts. Even the confessions were helpful! I would recommend anyone to join one of Andy's training or weight loss programmes, whatever your ability or past experience. I considered myself reasonably fit before I joined the online course but I was struggling to stay motivated to lose weight on my own. After 4 weeks I'm 9lbs lighter, got my diet back on track and feeling motivated to keep going. Committing yourself to a plan as part of a group, along with Andy's great coaching, really makes all the difference.
