Getting back into fitness, healthy eating, weight training etc is always hard. I know that & you know that....

This is especially true when you have been out of the routine for a long time or perhaps never in the routine.

You will hear it all the time from friends and family, the voices in your head, hey, I even hear it from other Personal trainers and from myself when there is something seemingly more appealing on the table.....Ill start tomorrow, Ill start next week, Iv just got to get through these things I'm doing first, at the end of this month ill have more time for it.........

Who the hell ever has 'more time' nowadays!!

Truth is you will only ever start today. So start.

It doesn't have to be eyeballs out intense from the minute go and the diet doesn't need to be perfect from day 1 but if you want to be fitter, if you want to lose weight, if you want to look better naked then you need to do something that contributes to that today because tomorrow you are a day further from your goals if you don't....

The most common excuse I hear presently is that 'ill start in the New Year'. Thats all it is, an excuse.

Its too cold - excuse - put an extra layer on

Its too expensive - excuse - go for a walk

Im too busy - excuse - really? are you? haven't got 30 minutes?

Im not feeling great - excuse - probably cos you're eating shit....

Im too tired - excuse - everyone is, get over it.

Do something today that makes your boat go faster....

That could be just the smallest step in the right direction.

Make your next food choice a good one, go one choice at a time but acknowledge the need to make more good choices than bad and stick to it.

Go and enquire at a gym. You will get a better deal now than in January when they are inundated.

Go to a class. Take a friend. Plenty of evidence to suggest that you are much more likely to succeed with your goals if you have training partners.

Start the momentum and let it build. It is easier to keep going than it is to get going - Isaac Newton said that not me....

Not sure where to start then drop me a message via email or on Facebook for free advice. Im here to help as are other trainers and they shouldn't be charging you for advice.

If you want something more than that then check out the PAYG gym that I operate out of at www.peakbodyfitness.co.uk.

No annual sign ups required. You can come and go as you please and its one of the friendliest gyms you will find.

Or if you want/need Personal Trainer structure and accountability (thats a big one by the way!) then get in touch at www.alfatraining.co.uk or check out the small training groups I operate in Chester Le Street, designed to be suitable for all levels. Or the 30 day Facebook challenge I'm running that starts on November 17th!

Check out one of my free home workout videos floating around on YouTube.

Plenty of options...

Your call. Your body. Your responsibility.....and as awful as it is to say it......Your fault if you don't make it happen because it just won't happen on its own.

Start today because tomorrow is always a day away.....

Andy.
